In this mini process, we will create new neural pathways, aka reference points in the nervous system. Bypassing the cortex and giving your body an opportunity to feel spaciousness, freedom and clarity of purpose. We invite this into our being, giving ourselves more choice, more scope for our nervous system to respond to life from - and - a new reference point for a relationship to time that is free of stress, contraction, and limitation.

 

It’s just one of the many processes and exercises we use in the Birth Into Being Method, and that I teach others how to facilitate in the annual Birth Into Being Facilitator Training

 

This process enables your nervous system to directly open to sensation rather than thoughts & ideas. Thoughts are more likely to be processed in the cortex, with only a small amount of sensation landing. If you’re lucky. And thoughts are shortlived - zillions of them passing through us, constantly. 

So here, we are using our felt senses, our physical body to move with the suggestions, the impulses that arise in relationship to time. I strongly suggest you do this process standing, but ultimately, of course there is no right or wrong way to move, to feel, to be with… This is an exercise in liberation! 

 

In doing this process, you may receive other intel about where you need to go next on your healing path. Or - openings. Shifts. Invitations to expansion around things other than Time. Welcome the info!

 

For integration - Recording your insights or feelings, processing on paper is another way of cultivating the imprints you’re inviting in. Developing more interaction with them, bringing them into your psyche and your being, in numerous ways, is the key to having them stick around. 

Preparation

  • Create a nest to lay down, or comfortably rest when you’ve completed the moving meditation.

  • Have some music ready to press Play on your device. Lyric-less, melodic music, rather than strong  

beats or a story attached. This music is there to support you, not guide you.

  • Have your journal or drawing materials at hand. You may wish to integrate this process thru the

written word, or through imagery. 

  • Watch this brief description of the neurological re-set technique called Monkey Breath.

(3min video below)  We do this prior to any of the Birth Into Being processes, as a way of refreshing the physiological and neurological systems before we begin.

Process Steps

  • Movement Intro (1 min) - drop into the body as you prepare 

  • Neurological Reset (1 min) - Monkey breath to create a gap in habitual thinking

  • Guided Visualization/Somatic Embodiment (10 mins) - Guided process

  • Integration song (3 mins) - Gentle return to present awareness

  • Personal Integration Time (10-20 mins recommended) - Journal and rest with what you've received. 

This structure is deliberately designed to work with your neurobiology, not against it. The movement and breath work prepare your system to receive new imprints, while the integration phase helps anchor these new reference points in your being.
